It is not a secret that most of the Saudi Arabian Families go abroad during the summer vacation. Mostly to Dubai, Malaysia, London & Turky. Therefore the price on local TVCs & outdoor advertisement has gone down exponentially. However, advertisement on Watsapp , Facebook, Twitter & Instagram is widly successful practice currently  especially if we link it to tourism. For Example, Al-Taiar tourism company's followers have increased to Twitter by 51 % especially after posting tweets with pictures of London & discounted London package.

The second most popular way of advertisement during the summer is through telecom companies. Orange in the UK opened their network for advertisement to their visitor lines. Harods , Marks & Spenser , Hertz are using this method by offering discounts to their customers through SMS messages. Hertz made 68% growth during the first three weeks alone. John Davidson -CEO of Orange said that this way of "appealing" advertisement is one of the most successful in the company's history. Especially during the current domination of digital & social advisement.


The Summer Vacation for Saudi Arabia can be
a gold mine. IF used properly. While local traditional  advertisement is declining , digital & abroad advertisement is on high growth.
